The bottom flange fits the typical one inch push up mast perfectly and you should tighten the
set screws as shown. However, it is a good idea to drill a hole through the flange and mast
and then insert a 1/4 inch hex bolt to secure it better.
A choke balun can be mounted underneath the base plate with cable ties. Such a choke can
be made of six Type 77 toroids slipped over the coax and held in place by cable ties.
